About the test

This straightforward stool test is a simple way to assess the parasite profile within an individual’s gastrointestinal tract.

Intestinal parasites can be the cause of a variety of symptoms and illnesses. The qPCR testing used is a sensitive and quantitative technique to help improve the accuracy of parasite testing. This in-depth profile can assess the presence of parasites that may be causing issues, leading to appropriate interventions that can help to restore optimal health.

This test is recommended as a follow-up test, specifically to monitor functional markers after being identified in one of Healthpath’s initial gut tests, such as the Essential, Advanced or Ultimate Gut Health Test.

This test can be performed as an initial test or as a retest panel after the Essential, Advanced or Ultimate Gut Health Test. If parasites are suspected, but have never been tested, it is often recommended to perform one of the wider gut tests mentioned above to assess the overall health of the gut.
