About the test

This Metabolomix+ including Genomics Add-On package includes all the analysis of the standalone Metabolomix+ Test. This includes a wide range of macronutrients and micronutrients, as well as markers that show digestive function, toxic exposure, mitochondrial function and oxidative stress.

The Genomics Add-On for Metabolomix+ additionally measures unique DNA sequences of the genes APOE, MTHFR, COMT and TNFA. This analysis identifies the presence or absence of polymorphisms which can contribute to the risk of cardiovascular diseases, elevated homocysteine levels, hormone dysregulation and insulin resistance.

By identifying any polymorphisms in these genes, the Genomics Add-On for Metabolomix+ can help to guide dietary, lifestyle and supplemental protocol to minimise the risk of the conditions detailed above.

The Genomics Add On element requires four blood spots (collected on one card) from a single finger prick.

Please note, the cost of this test includes all the Metabolomix+ Test markers in addition to the Genomics Add-On.

The Metabolomix+ element requires four samples taken from your first morning urine, before eating and drinking.

Metabolomix+ Test: The price of this test includes a DHL home collection and shipping to Genova Diagnostics in the USA where the urine samples are processed.

Genomics Add On: The price of this test includes a DHL home collection and shipping to Nordic Laboratories OY in Finland where the blood spot samples are processed.
