The Epstein Barr Virus Elispot Test uses Elispot technology to identify a T cell response to the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV). If an infection is identified, this test can help to create useful nutritional interventions, and also monitor treatment to ensure the virus is effectively eradicated.

EBV is from the herpes family, and is associated with health conditions including glandular fever and certain cancers. By using Elispot technology, the Epstein Barr Virus Elispot Test identifies any cellular activity against EBV to confirm the presence of the virus.

This test requires a blood sample via a blood draw procedure, which must be performed by a doctor or phlebotomist.
