Gain insight into your hormonal health with our Comprehensive Female Hormone Profile.
£89.00
Our Comprehensive Female Hormone Profile provides valuable insight into hormone health at any age. It can help assess whether hormonal imbalances are contributing to your symptoms, such as acne, fatigue, low sex drive, mood changes, hot flushes and weight changes or other related health issues.
By measuring LH (Luteinising Hormone), FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone), LH:FS ratio, Prolactin, Oestradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA-S, SHBG (Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin) and Free Androgen Index, our Hormone Profile will help to track your hormone levels if you’re working to bring them back into balance.
Measuring DHEA-S gives an extra level of insight into hormonal health. It impacts testosterone, oestrogen and IGF-1 (Insulin Growth Factor-1), and elevated levels in women can result in amenorrhea, deeper voice, hirsutism, increase in muscle mass and more, while low levels can cause symptoms such as acne, fatigue, low sex drive, mood changes and hot flushes.
This test is also suitable for anyone who would like to investigate their health for overall wellbeing.
Need Oestradiol? You must book a venous blood draw
As of end July 2023, a fingerprick test is no longer possible for this marker.
A venous blood draw is essential to test oestradiol, due to a change stipulated by UKAS (the accreditation body for testing services).
If your client requires this marker, it is essential they book a venous blood draw with a phlebotomist, who must supply appropriate kit (SST / Gold Top venepuncture).
Contact us for phlebotomy services – our partner will be able to support you.
If you wish to test without this marker, you can still use the included finger prick kit.
Essential information
Collecting your sample
If postmenopausal, the collection date can be any time.
If premenopausal, take the test between days 19 and 22 days of your cycle. For longer cycles, add the number of days you usually go beyond 28 days. In a similar manner, subtract if your cycles are shorter.
For example, if the cycle is 31 days, the collection date must be between days 22 to 25 of the cycle. If the cycle is 26 days, the collection date must be between days 17 to 20.
Disclaimer: This test is only available through a Healthpath Pro practitioner.
