The Candida IgG/IgA/IgM Bloodspot Test measures the serum levels of IgG, IgA and IgM antibodies via a bloodspot sample. Elevated levels of these antibodies against Candida antigens can indicate recurrent or ongoing Candida overgrowth.
The antibodies interlock with Candida antigens to form immune complexes, which ordinarily are quickly removed from the body. However, a Candida overgrowth means these antibodies remain circulating within the body, and can cause health problems including inflammation and tissue damage.
Identifying the presence of a Candida overgrowth through the Candida IgG/IgA/IgM Bloodspot Test helps to create useful interventions to return Candida levels back to normal.
