About the test

The Breath Test for Fructose Malabsorption/Intolerance is a simple, at-home breath test that assesses the presence of fructose intolerance. It does this by measuring hydrogen and methane levels in the breath before, and incrementally after, the administration of a fructose solution.

Fructose intolerance can result in symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea, stomach pain, nausea and dizziness. This test helps to identify or eliminate fructose as the cause of these symptoms. If fructose intolerance is identified, it can help to inform useful nutritional interventions. If it is not, it can rule out fructose intolerance as the root cause of health problems.

This test requires seven breath samples, collected over a three hour period.

Please note, the price of this test includes a DHL home collection and shipping to Aerodiagnostics Laboratory in the USA where the samples are processed.

Disclaimer: This test is only available through a Healthpath Pro practitioner.
